Chaldean Chronicles: Cadence of the Lostgrail

In a dark room, stood thirteen guards. Many of them looked different from each other, wearing different banners and colors. In front of each of them was a strange magical circle. Though one guard seemed to not be standing in front of a circle. This single guard would take a step forward. "A meeting by the Demon God has been called. All orders are hereby requested to attended." spoke the guard. Several of the magical circles would then start to glow.

One of the circles glowing would suddenly glow stronger before a female figure appeared. A smirk would appear on her face. "It seems I am the first to arrive. Of course my interventions are superior." said the figure as she then waited for the others to arrive.

"God Lord of the Twelve, Ruler of Creation, is Acknowledge, this meeting recognizes you." said the Guard as he then lowered his head.

A second of the circle strongly glowed with yet another figure appearing “I was in the middle of reading more my Angel’s reports but I suppose that shall wait, if we were all requested sothis must be of great importance .” The second the Lord of Astromancy patiently waited for the others to arrive

"Another God Lord of the Twelve has arrived. This meeting Acknowledges your presence." said the Guard as he looked at the Lord before then looking at center waiting for the others to appear.

On cue, another circle glowed as yet another figure appeared. A loud snap could be heard, followed by noisy crunching. “Oh my, oh my! No need to be so feisty, we’re all fellow colleagues here now, aren’t we?” The munching continued as the Lord of Lore continued snacking.

The fourth of the many circles lights up and shimmers, and when the light dies down some leaves a dainty masked lady. Though she was masked, one could see all that lay beneath it, a small smile on her face and her eyes were wholly shut. "My my another calling... Now nice it is to see you all once more..."

"Third God Lord has arrived. Lord of the Lore, this meeting recognizes your presence and contribution." said the Guard as he looked at the Lord before his attention then quickly shifted his attention at the center.

The fifth would flare up, and glow with the appereance of another figure. The solemn figure of fruitful growth. He didn't look pleased. But of course, he never did look pleased. "And I was asking myself when would this take place. This better be important, I was doing good progress on my research." Noted the lord, keeping his hands on his back. (edited)

"Fourth and Fifth God Lord's have both arrived. This meeting acknowledges both of you." said the Guard as he looked at each of them before once again looking at the center.

The sixth circle lights up. A man of gold stood in the light grasping his staff. "Greetings and salutations," he rose a hand casually as a hail, "I concur with my fellow of the North. I currently have a ritual I must oversee soon that shall ensure my domination over an entirely new element."

"Sixth God has arrived. This meeting accepts you presence and involvement." said the Guard as he looked at Sourd directly before then looking at the center.

@????? (@Sophie, Mary, Nito, Gorgon, Boud) - jump "Your Angels, I wouldn't mind buying or trading some stuff for them. They are very interesting, would like to make some of my own. So what do you say that after this meeting we do a bargin?" she said to her fellow Lord, looking directly at her.

With a disappointed sigh the lord spoke “My Angels are not a commodity for purchase or sale, they are meant to protect my people from harm and not serve as a part of one of your collections.”

"It would be unfortunate to lose any in more offensive actions as well," Sourd suggested, "Though with recent events, no doubt the reason this meeting is called, circumstances seem to move to dictate otherwise."

"How disappointing. You won't even consider what I am willing to trade. A shame." said the Lord God of Creation before then shifting her attention to another Lord, known as the Voice of God. "How did my creatures that I made for your work out? Are they to your expectations?"

”Eeeeh, how droll! It’s been oh so long as since we last held such a wondrous meeting, and you began with business matters? Ahhh, why don’t you all learn to have some fun?” A giggle came from the shadowed figure and another crunch followed.

"But this is how I enjoy myself. Making all sorts of interesting and great creations. I do enjoy working with minds that are near my level."

"..." The Lord of the North restrained the desire to groan. He had remembered why he loathed these reunions. The pettiness, the needless politics, the struggles between rival Divinities. Centuries of the same drivel, and for what? But bah, if it was a step towards his goal, he would bear with it.

Suddenly a large circle would appear near the room. It would glow far brighter then any of the other circle. Then the Demon God Pillar Ami would appear in his full form.

"Ah, the Demon Pillar," Sourd didn't make directly eye contact and his grip on his staff shifted slightly, "I suppose it is time again."

"The Demon God themselves have graced all of us with his presence in this meeting. For he is the one who called this meeting and as such will start the meeting." said the Guard as she looked at the Demon God Pillar before then walking to the side.

"They are working out quite well for me, and they're quite compatible with my research..." The Voice of God smiles at this, placing a hand on her cheek as she lets out a light laugh. Afterwards her hands fall back to her side and her gaze goes to the Demon God Pillar.

”Alright, alright, so I guess the meeting begins proper now!” Despite her words, the lord made no effort to change her current conduct, simply giving a lazy gaze at the Demon God Pillar, a rapidly emptying candy bag in hand.

"At last. The one who granted us our current status, eh? It's been a while, so this must be quite important indeed." Noted dryly the Lord of the North as he looked at the Pillar. At least it was deserving of his respect... Somewhat.

"As some of you have heard, Chaldea has arrived and began to attack our followers. They slow down our spread and threaten us all. I do not need to remind you all that belief is power. You have all made great progress to the root recently. Each of us is getting close to reaching it, we cannot afford to allow Chaldea to interfere. We must continue to expand in order to increase our power."

"I do not need to have agents on the Irish Isles to be aware of their current endeavours at Blarney Tower and the incidents at Galway, let alone the forest fire which served as the beacon to draw my attention. Unacceptable reversals of the campaign in Ireland." he shook his head. He used an empathic tone that sounded genuine but it was a lie to highlight the failures on those in charge of Ireland, "As well as several convoys ambushed and our men slaughtered with no survivors. No doubt Chaldea has chosen a blatant and aggressive first move with these actions."

Of course Sourd left out he had a hand in at least two of these actions, aiming to pin the blame squarely on Chaldea. Not an outright denial, but rather a diversion of attention.

“If seizing Ireland is of such great importance, then I shall provide the Lord of the North with a Garrison of my Angels.” “However I shall be unable to assist further.”

The Lord of Growth let out a rasp before proceeding to intervene himself, clearly this was directed at him. Who else? "I assure you those events have not escaped my attention. I have directed my forces towards the recovery of Blarney, and the forest is being regrown as we speak. Remember that to grow a tree is as easy for me as it is for you to blink." "Do not fret. My Servant has made an assessment of Chaldea's capabilities myself. And I intend to take matters by my own hands. I have a variety of methods on my disposal, and if Chaldea must be eliminated, I will not hesitate on making use of them."

"In that case, I will start sending my High Homunculi beings to Ireland. After all, I am working on the next version of Homunculi. Once these new variation are made, I will share my secrets on how to make High Homunculi to the rest of you. Though if you were to share your Angels with me, my projects would move faster."

"They sound like excellent test subjects for my Jar... I cannot wait for the day when they submit themselves to my experimentation..." The Voice just smiles at the thought, speaking to no one in particular on the subject. Perhaps I should send a few more of the children to observe them as well...

"If any of them do survive, I would be willing to buy them off you or trade something."

"... Thank... you, for the offer." Trying to resemble some sense of civility "But I do think my Green Knights and my Druids will suffice. Unless, of course, you wish to upgrade your yearly supply of Ambrosia."

"And I also offer the support of my Knights and Ranger to contain the threat. But I am dealing with some dissidence and I would like to preserve my current strength if possible within the populace. They will be placed in an observational role and intervene if heavy losses are to be expected."

"Chaldea isn't the only issue. Two additional unknown parties have arrived. One I have identified as a forgotten God, known as the God of Cruelty. We have entered an alliance with him. He has been providing us with intelligence and even additional fire power. The other unknown party I have yet to identify. Caution is needed, as their are now many wild cards in play."

"A lot of wild cards in play, you say. But it's alright, I've got my fair repertorie of wild cards as well, as I am sure the rest of you do." Looking at most of them, one by one. Excluding a certain one of course. He knew each of them were wild cards by themselves. "But since we have an alliance with this fellow 'God of Cruelty', I ask, why would that be an issue?"

"While he himself isn't an issue, the implications of him and another unknown force is. This means more and more unknown forces may show up. A greater threat then Chaldea may eventually arrive."

"What an implication... Still, we cannot worry on 'what-ifs', but on what we have in front of us. We are so close to our goals, we cannot allow doubt to take root in our minds at this stage. Certainly I will not be swayed, and I hope the same from the rest.

Basically, until such a threat is not here, it is not here.

"Of course we continue attempting to get to the root. But we must take all threats that come here seriously and take them out quickly as possible. Chaldea agents will attempt to stop us and as such, we shall stop them. Best if we send an overwhelming force to wipe them out."

"I don't want us to be fighting on too many fronts."

"Sorry, something came up. As I was going to say..." *He continued, but something inside him clearly clicked*

"I can come up with something in the meantime. Perhaps fortunately, I suspect they are not aware that doom already lays within their ranks."

"Oh, sounds like you have something interesting planned. I won't inquire what it is as I do want to be surprised by it. I hope it will live up to the hype."

"Many years may have passed, but I do assure you, my fellow gods, that I haven't lost my touch."

"Good... I shall be looking forward to seeing the fruits of what you have done~" The closed eyed Lord smiled at this as she thinks about how to best handle the situation herself.

"We shall start to gather a crusade to crush Chaldea just in case your plans don't bear the fruits that you expect. We are close to reaching the root, we cannot allow anything to stop us. Now, I have concluded my business, is their anyone else who has a subject they wish to bring forth?"

"None from my side, though... I do wonder, do their 'Heroic Spirits' and Masters have the power to kill us? Not in magical output, that's just impossible. But rather... Something more precise. To smite gods."

"They are Heroes of times past, it wouldn't be suppressing if there were those in their ranks who might have the ability to and it's for that reason why we must not underestimate their Heroic Spirits." "Do not fall victim to pride and Over Confidence; Lord of the North."

"It is not just their heroes but their masters as well. We have identified two masters capable of doing so. Leo and Ciel. Both of them posses weapons capable of slaying Gods. Ciel though has yet to be located in the singularity. Leo on the other hand doesn't even realize the full power of his weapon."

"Then we should observe them and keep tabs on their location, killing them and destroying the weapon they possess shall be a top priority. Should I make use of my Divination to keep watch on them, Lord Ami?" *The Lord moved their Coat to the side and placed a hand on their Tome * "If not then I shall have no other questions."

"While you can keep track of the masters, what will you do about the servants that we don't know who can kill gods?"

"The Servants would be hard to learn about normally due to being unable to work out their identities, however the best option for researching their capabilities would be to force them to activate their Noble Phantasm's True Name" "Unfortunately that may require the sacrifice of a few pawns under the correct conditions."

"... Or maybe not. Do not be so hasty, a good thing of living so long is that you get wisdom. If we play our cards right, sacrifice might not be that necessary of an option." "In any case, I've changed my mind, dearie." At the Lord of Astromancy "I believe I will require some of your Angels, yes."

"I shall have them meet with you shortly then Lord of the North, they will make short work of those Chaldean's".

"Best if we start working on both plans. If one fails, we will still have the others. I will assist with our backup plan. I do believe I can greatly help with that."

"Then we are all in agreement. Begin with your plans and I will continue with mine. Let us reach the root and find the truth!" said Demon God Pillar as it then dismissed everyone from the throne room.

Within the Throne Room. In the corner of all... A single figure had managed to slip past all the defences put in place. A shadow of a man.

"So. This is where you had been lingering."

"This is where I have performed all my works, in order to reach the one true void. Have you come to stop me or have you come to take part?"

"Neither. Though I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed in what I see. This world has no future, we both know it. The longer you stay here to more likely you make yourself to share it's fate. A doomed timeline like this is unstable. We both know it."

"This world indeed has no future, on that you are correct. But you fail to see my goal. I didn't come here to make a new world. Once I achieve my goal, this world becomes meaningless."

"I'm aware. You're the one who doesn't get it. Regardless, I shall make myself clear here and now. Just so there isn't any more need for our interactions. I've come here for two reasons. First... You're the ruler of this 'reality'. Tell me where the individual named 'Crul' is located."

"Do you deny my goal? Do you deny the goal of all magi or do you think I am unfit to be a magi? As for the Child who hates the creatures of the night, he is no longer in my singularity, he went to Chaldea and never returned. Perhaps he got what he desired. Though his actions are of no consequences to me once I accomplish my goal."

"No. I simply think you won't reach your goal before this reality collapses on itself. Now... Before I leave this leads me to matter number two." With that the man's eyes grew orange. "If you or your minions ever lay a hand on Chaldea itself again I will assist them. I would do so already- however considering the information you gave me I'm willing to overlook it this time."

With that he turned around and headed off slowly but surely.

"Interesting, is it not? That even though this singularity isn't a threat to them, they still choose to enter it and attempt to stop me when they could have simply ignored me. Still, in the end it doesn't matter, I have almost reached my new goal, my new abilities are proof of this."

". . . Take a lesson from history and stop to realize how it will end before you are finished." With that the man vanished.

"There is a first time for everything." said Demon God Pillar to itself.

"Aha... So this is what you've been using your influence to hide is it?" The voice of a sinister Kouhai suddenly boomed, always the one for theatrics she smiled cheekily before turning her attention to Ami. "Took me a little bit to crack the distortion against the Rayshifting but honestly speaking, I'm surprised it was that easy. I was expecting more from you. Then again-- I guess you are just a part of the whole huh?" @[Serpon]Teno/Penth/Nico/Azu

"Rogue AI, have you come here to play your games with me or is their an actual purpose to all this?" asked Demon God Pillar as he continued on with his research, only giving the AI a fraction of his attention.

"Aww. Won't let me have a little fun will you? Wanting to get straight to business is that it? Well, you somewhat ruined the chances of that the moment you decided to infringe on my own fun, 'Demon God' Pillar."

"Allow me to get straight to the point though. That is unless you'd rather focus on your research and pay no mind to me, hmmm~?"

"I have the ability to multitask in a number of ways beyond what is humanly possible. I am sure an AI like you could understand how such a thing could be done. Now speak your business." said the Pillar as he continued to focus on the point. Not even acknowledging some of her remarks.

"Very much so, though you might wish to commit most of your computing power to this if I say so myself. Now..." With that the woman tapped her wand against her leg with a soft hum... For a moment- she made the connection between herself and her master muddy. "I'm quite interested in the method by which you have achieved the summoning of a Heroic Spirit that once belonged to Chaldea. Not that Hijacking the Counter Force is all that difficult but... It's pretty clear you've got some kind of a tether to Chaldea itself. Frankly, I don't really care about your goals within this 'singularity' if you can call it that- Frankly it's not even a threat to humanity... Not that that fact matters much in the first place. No-- I'm curious where a little lost pillar got all this strength and cunning from." With that she tilted her head to the side with a smug look. "Depending on the answer, one hand may wash another."

"I think I have an inkling of idea behind it, aha... What do people call it? The power of belief was it?"

"Equivalent exchange. If I give you this information, what do I get out of it? As of now, I have no reason to trust you, as Chaldea has proven to be bloodthirsty and unable to keep their word." said the Pillar as he continued to do his work.

With that the woman casually waved her hand around the air. "That assumption is made under the conclusion that I'm acting on behalf of Chaldea." BB pointed out before finally rising up a small sphere up into the air. "A considerable cache of data that should help in your research. Granted, it might also enlighten you to just how far away you most likely are from your goals. At the rate you're going at now, you will run out of time... So, what do you say?"

"Very well, I accept your terms. Vee was summoned using a dual summoning terminal. Gaining access to Chaldea system when the Zombie infestation happened, I used both my own summoning circle and one from Chaldea to assist with the summoning. Using the blue dragon mask that I retrieved from the void and Chaldea itself as a catalyst, as well as my own abilities when it comes to the void and my new abilities when it comes to white holes, I managed to summon her. You see, their is simply one goal I want, to reach the one true void, the root. I saw many other mages fail and then I studied those who pass. I learned that in order to get to the root, I had to change. One must not get complacent as the humans say."

". . . What an odd desire of yours. If that's what you want though who am I to judge?" With that the woman shrugged, tilting her head and chuckling to herself in amusement. "That being said... I do have one request for this little sphere. Whatever your outcome may be for this little research of yours..." With that she swung her wand around a few times, forming another this time translucent cube. "Record it in here. I do not care for your goal nor do I intend to stop you from achieving it personally. If anything I find the idea you propose quite amusing. That being said-- Keep your hands clean off of Chaldea. I dislike people using my to--" With that she paused for a second... "Playthings without my permission."

"Regardless. I have things to get on with. I trust this little meeting was productive." With that she passed on the cube to Ami and waved her wand around. With that- she was gone
